Smoked Sausage Peas and Bow-Tie Pasta
This is a quick dish that appeals to just about everyone.
Ingredients
—2 Links: Queen City Sausage Smoked Sausage. Sliced
—1 PK Italian Farfalle - bow-tie pasta. Follow package cooking instructions
—1.5 Cups Frozen peas
—1 Cup Whole milk ricotta cheese
—2 Cups Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
—2 TBLS Olive oil
—1 Large lemon. Zested and juiced
—1/2 Cup Chopped basil
—1/2 TSP Sea salt
—1/4 TSP Coarse ground pepper
Directions
Cook the pasta al dente. Wait until the last 3 minutes to add the peas and sausages. Save 1/2 cup pasta water
Large bowl. Add the ricotta, Parmesam, olive oil, lemon zest and juice, basil, salt and pepper. Blend well and add some of the reserved pasta water for a creamy sauce
Add the drained pasta, sausage, and peas. Toss until evenly coated
