Olive Tapenade Spread
My mom made a variation of this and brought it to every party with great acclaim! People would comment that they never served olives, but were now happily hovering over the tapenade bowl delighting in every bite.
Ingredients
—3 Links: Queen City Sausage Wicked Jalapeño Hot Smoked Sausage or favorite QCS sausage. Sliced and browned lightly
—1.5 Cups Green, pitted olives with pimento removed
—1 Cup Black olives, pitted
—1.5 Cups Extra virgin olive oil
—1/2 Cup Sun-dried tomatoes in oil
—1/3 Cup Asiago cheese or Parmesean. Chopped fine
—1 TSP Dried oregano
—1 TSP Italian seasoning
—2 Cloves of garlic. Minced
—2 TSP Balsamic vinegar
—1 TSP Pepper
Directions
Medium bowl. Combine all ingredients and blend well
Taste and adjust if needed, such as salt
Serve at room temperature with the browned sausages
