Smoked Sausage Pinecone Treats
These little nuggets are packed with flavor and fun. Easy to make. Great for sharing!
Ingredients
—2 Packs: Queen City Sausage—Smoked Sausage. Feel free to mix varieties.
—8 OZ Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce
—1/2 Cup Yellow mustard
—2 TBLS Grippo’s Gourmet BBQ Spice
—1/2 TSP Pepper
—1/2 Red onion
Directions
Score the sausages in a cross-stitch pattern on both sides
Coat the scored sausages with the mustard, dust with the bbq spice, and pepper
Bake in a preheated 300 degree F oven for 20-30 minutes
Remove from oven and cut into thirds
Place the pieces in a large, oven-proof skillet. Add bbq sauce. Cook the sausages at medium heat, evenly coating the links for abut 5 minutes
Transfer the skillet and contents to a preheated 350 degree oven for for about 20 minutes, achieving a slight char
Remove and let cool briefly and serve
