Smoked Cottage Ham & Sausage Sliders

Want to create recipemagic?  This is a fast and simple recipe that will have family and friends asking for more!  Cottage Ham is Cincinnati’s best kept secret.  So versatile.

Ingredients

—7 OZ Queen City Sausage-Smoked Cottage Ham )Butt.  Sliced thin

—2 Links: Queen City Sausage-Smoked Sausage.  Sliced and quartered

—5 OZ Colby Jack cheese.  Block or shredded

—12 Dinner buns.  Ideally Hawaiian buns or Brioche

—1/2 Onion.  Thin sliced

—Red peppers.  Sliced

—3 TBLS Mayonnaise

—2 TBLS Creamy Italian dressing

—1/4 Cup Butter.  Melted

—1 TSP Italian seasoning

Directions

  1. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally.  Place the tops aside for the moment

  2. Take a small bowl, mix the mayo and dressing together and then spread on the slider bun bottoms

  3. Add the sliced cottage ham and sausage slices

  4. Add the sliced onions and top with cheese

  5. Add red peppers.  Place the bun lids on top

  6. Brush the top of the buns with butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning

  7. Place the buns, unsliced on a parchment paper lined bake sheet.  Cover with foil

  8. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees F for 18-20 minutes

  9. Serve immediately
