Grilled Smoked Sausage Romaine Salads

Just looking at these grilled treats is like viewing artwork…deliciously.  Quick, easy, and sure to bring guests to the table.

Ingredients

—3 Links: Queen City Sausage Wicked Ghost or favorite QCS sausage.  Diced

—5 Slices thick bacon.  Diced

—1 Cup Grape tomatoes.  Halved

—1/2 Cup Seasoned breadcrumbs

—4 Stalks Romaine lettuce.  Cut in half

—1/2 Cup Ranch or blue cheese dressing

—1/4 Cup Blue cheese crumbles

—2 Garlic cloves.  Minced

—Olive oil for brushing

—Pepper

Directions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet.  Just before finishing, add the sausage and garlic

  2. In the same skillet, remove the bacon and sausages and set aside.  Add the breadcrumbs to roast, but remove excess bacon grease first.  You just want a good coating.  Stir often.  Set aside

  3. Brush both sides of the romaine with olive oil.  Place on the preheated-medium grill, cut side down for 1-2 minutes to toast, not cook

  4. Apply the ranch dressing, breadcrumbs then add the sausage and bacon, tomatoes, Blue cheese and pepper

  5. Serve immediately
