Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese Sausage

This is a celebration of flavors and tradition.  Take the classic grilled cheese and charge it up with gourmet Gouda cheese.  Take the bread to the next level with sourdough.  Add lots of garlic.  Bring on the smoked cottage ham and hot sausage.  Stove top or flat top grill application.

Ingredients

—4 OZ Thin sliced Queen City Sausage - Smoked Cottage Ham (Butt)

—2 Links: Queen City Sausage Smoked Sausage.  Quarter cut lengthwise into strips

—1 Loaf Sourdough bread.  Note: Consider cutting the center (1inch) out for height

—6 OZ Gouda.  Sliced

—3 TBLS Butter

—8 Cloves garlic.  Minced

—3/4 Cups Spinach

—2 TBLS Sun-dried tomatoes

Directions

  1. Flattop or stovetop-skillet.  Medium heat.  Melt the butter.  Add the garlic

  2. Add the sausage strips to brown and towards the end, add the cottage ham briefly to warm.  Quickly remove meats and set aside

  3. Slice the bread.  Add to skillet, outside of bread down to brown

  4. Once the bread is browned, flip the bread and add the cheese, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, cottage ham, and sausage strips

  5. Brown throughly, both sides of the bread.  Cheese will melt nicely and or further finish with :30 in the microwave

YIELD: 2-3 Servings
