Cowboy Chili Beef Smoked Sausage

Cincinnati is famous for it’s own style of chili.  This chili is different in that we added beans, bacon, and French fried onions as a topping.  This is a very quick way to add unexpected flavors and a stunning visual presentation.

Ingredients

—4 Links: Queen City Sausage—Beef Smoked Sausage

—4 Buns

—1 Can-15.5 OZ Hormel Chili with beans

—1/2 Onion.  Diced

—6 OZ Sharp cheddar cheese.  Shredded

—4 Strips Bacon.  Crumbled

—3 OZ French fried onions

Directions

  1. Warm up the chili.  Stove top or microwave

  2. Brown the sausages; skillet, grill, or broil

  3. Fry the bacon

  4. Place the cooked sausages in the buns

  5. Top the sausages with chili, onions, bacon, and cheese

  6. Finish the toppings with the French fried onions
