Smoked Sausage Shrimp Gumbo

Ingredients
14 OZ Pack Queen City Sausage Smoked Sausage or any favorite QCS sausage. Sliced ½”
1 LB. Frozen Red Argentine Wild Caught fresh shrimp. Peeled and deveined
4 Cups chicken broth
Seeds of Change Quinoa & brown rice–organic
1 Cup diced onions
1 Cup chopped celery
1 Red bell pepper. Sliced
2 Cloves garlic, minced
6 Tsp butter
¼ Cup flour
1 TSP ground pepper
1 TSP Cajun seasoning


Instructions
Medium non-stick skillet, medium-low heat. Add the butter and oil. Stir steadily for about 6 minutes until reddish brown. Add the onions, garlic, red pepper, ground pepper, Cajun seasoning, and celery. Let vegetables soften. Add the chicken broth. Simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Follow package instructions for the rice. Rice will be added to each serving bowl. Skillet contents will eventually be served on top of rice. Add the smoked sausages and simmer for 5 more minutes. Add the frozen shrimp. Be careful to serve immediately when shrimp turn pink. Do not over cook. Serve skillet contents over the rice in the bowls.
