Smoked Sausage Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
3 Links—Queen City Sausage’ Smoked Sausage or any QCS favorite sausage–diced
10 OZ Uncooked elbow macaroni
2 Cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Hold back ½ cup for topping
½ Cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 Cups whole milk
3 TBS all-purpose flour
2 TBS. Butter
½ Cup bread crumbs
Yields 6 Servings


Instructions
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain. Medium saucepan, medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour to make a roux. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Stir in cheese until melted. Sauce should be somewhat thick. In a bowl, combine the macaroni and cheese sauce. Stir to thoroughly blend. Add macaroni mixture to casserole dish. Add the ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Spread the bread crumbs evenly over the casserole ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
