Ultimate Jumbo Goetta Burger
Goetta is Greater Cincinnati and NKY’s very own regional comfort food. Goetta came to the region during the German migration of the 1880’s. Goetta is a German breakfast sausage made with pork, beef, onions, and steel cut oats.
- 1 LB. Queen City Goetta for 4 Each ¼ LB. Patties
- 2 Thick Slices of Swiss Cheese
- 1 Large Tomato
- 4 Lettuce Leaves
- 2 Oversized Buns
- Ketchup, Mustard Pickles, French Fries Optional but Recommended
Yield: 2 Jumbo Goetta Burgers
Medium skillet. Slice the Goetta roll into 4 pieces. Form each slice into ¾” patties. Place in skillet, medium heat. Brown both sides thoroughly. Assemble the 2 burgers while creating the ultimate double decker.
